Our Enterprise Maintenance Excellence function at Medtronic is part of the Operation Innovations (OI) Group. We focus on all aspects of the equipment life cycle, from development, maintain as new and ultimate decommissioning. We will engineer the extraordinary through rigorous application of technical excellence and enterprise-wide development, deployment, and execution of engineering strategy.

In this role, you will work with maintenance organizations at multiple sites regionally on projects to optimize maintenance cost, reduce equipment downtime, and implement maintenance system best practices. You will facilitate training and improvement events at those regional sites, as well as working with the deployment team to implement a new Computerized Asset Management System being deployed globally throughout Medtronic.

Ability to Travel:
A Day in the Life
Establish best practice standards and principles for equipment requirements and maintenance
Deploy Enterprise Maintenance Excellence (MEx) road map as part of Medtronic Performance System (MPS) leveraging Total Performance Maintenance principles (TPM)
Provide technical expertise on equipment performance and reliability
Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime solving equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process based on zero loss and zero downtime mindset
Technical support to the manufacturing maintenance equipment teams and process engineering teams
Develop and deploy equipment and maintenance excellence applying root cause analysis and problem-solving skill sets across the Enterprise
Defines and writes preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
Develop and motivate a highly talented, diverse, engineering team responsible for development and maintenance of our Global equipment inventory
Partner with internal and external experts to maintain and strengthen relevant engineering and technical expert
Grow and nurture cross site and cross functional relationships in a large, multi-site, matrixed organization.
Understand and comply with company policies & procedures and external standards & guidance
Generate novel and unique solutions to both engineering and organizational challenges
Participate in the evaluation, selection and ordering of equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues

Must Haves
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of direct equipment or maintenance engineering experience OR advanced degree with 2+ years of direct equipment or maintenance engineering experience

Nice to Have
Degree in Engineering
Excellent team building, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
Experience in Total Performance Maintenance (TPM) application
CMRP or CRL certification
Medical Device industry experience

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
