Compensation: $2,150 per day shift, $2,860 per night shift
Located in Renton, Washington, Valley Medical Center is affiliated with the University of Washington Medicine System and is the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider between Seattle and Tacoma, serving more than 600,000 residents. About the position:
- Opportunities to work both day and night shifts (3-14 shifts per month)
- Shifts are 12 hours: 7AM-7PM (day shift) and 7PM-7AM (night shift)
- Open ICU model - work collaboratively with the intensivists who will serve in a consulting role only (no intensivist in house 9PM-7AM)
- Primary hospitalist responsible for admitting, rounding, and discharging
- Primary admitting service for all medical and surgical patients with complex medical issues (specialists available 24/7 for consultation)
- Provide consultative services for other specialties in the hospital
- Work with Family Medicine residents assigned to inpatient service
- Along with residents, respond to Code Blues, Code Strokes and Rapid Responses
- Epic EMR/ secure texting app instead of pagers
Qualifications:
- BC in Internal Medicine or Combined Internal Medicine/Peds
- ACLS certification
- Ability to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authority
