  • Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) provides health insurance options to Samaritan employees, community employers, and Medicare and Medicaid members. SHP operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunityHealth Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan.

    This is a remote position in which we are able to employ in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin
  • Preferred candidate will have the following:
  • - Experience writing Business Requirements Documents (for Report Writers, Developers, or Architects)
  • - Experience with process improvement (technical or non-technical)
  • - Experience justifying ROI on a project or an initiative they supported
  • - Experience explaining very complex things in a very simple way
  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, clinical, financial and technological risks. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include full range of activities from leading small to large scale projects to assisting other project managers on complex interdepartmental projects related to organization operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the industry level.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
    • Four (4) years business analysis and/or business systems analysis project coordination related experience required. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years experience.
    • Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business required.
    • Advanced experience and/or training in SQL and Microsoft Excel required.

Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities.
