The director has strong ties to users and can communicate effectively with the technology staff, user leaders and staff, and senior management. The director will oversee multiple complex projects adhering to technology standards and manage the full project management lifecycle process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides oversight to all NIS and department projects.
- Partners with internal customers, stakeholders, and outside consultants to implement new technologies across the district.
- Supports advance requirements around school nutrition, ensuring data management and reporting as needed by the internal users, Georgia Department of Education Nutrition program, or required by the United States Department of Agriculture regulations.
- Builds relationships and collaborates with key business leaders in the district to establish strategic plans and a roadmap that aligns with a progressive business culture.
- Participates in the budgeting, estimating, planning, etc., for those projects/operations under their charge.
- Assigns staff, evaluates professional development needs, promotes continuous staff improvement, and directs the day-to-day administrative and personnel needs of those under their charge.
- Supervises, evaluates, and directs assigned staff
- Provides project management, vendor management and technology leadership across the department's IT needs.
- Monitors the progress of all NIS projects and facilitates proper project reviews at established project timelines.
- Establishes a robust set of key performance indicators and tracking reports that clearly show the team's performance and drive improvements in customer service and successful project delivery.
- Leads the Executive Leadership project reviews, develops, and enforces project management life cycle standards, and provides accurate reporting via portfolio dashboards.
- Creates, executes, and monitors the strategic plan in support of the NIS service delivery to the department.
- Creates and maintains proper documentation for all projects and establishes processes, procedures, and standards as necessary.
- Recommends enhancements or changes to applications and systems to improve further the efficiency, performance, and reliability of the department's nutrition program needs.
- Delivers services in his/her area of responsibility as called upon by nutrition services senior management in support of the mission and goals of APS.
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours, and as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Must have a valid Georgia driver's license and private transportation to travel between district facilities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in the implementation and support of School Nutrition Systems or similar IT systems.
- 5 years of experience as a Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor, Lead, or similar role.
