Position: Software Engineer II (Job Req# BC4793)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities: Design, develop and support a world-class search platform that serves merchants of all sizes. Build a robust eCommerce platform that enables customers to grow their businesses by collaborating with other engineering teams, product owners, designers, business representatives, and external partners. Work with technology partners to build robust integrations and enhancements on top of our APIs. Work on systems powering BigCommerce's themes and content creation. Contribute to code and product direction, while providing technical guidance to teammates. Participate in code reviews to maintain and improve quality. Product bullet-proof code that is robust, efficient and maintainable. Work on challenging issues such as query and performance optimization while adhering to security protocols. Collaborate with operations and infrastructure to improve the architecture while building and scaling back-end services. Engage in technical discussion of new solutions and architectures.
Educ./experience: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or related role. Experience must include developing high performance, scalable and available web services and applications, React.js, Backbone, Node.js and GraphQL.
Salary range: $148,000 - $152,800 per year
