This position is full-time in Campbell River, British Columbia. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate to be considered.

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager and Project Superintendent, the Geotechnical Coordinator will efficiently manage the project documentation, submittals, reviews, and quality management processes.

Duties of this position include:

  • Completing field assessments of the project site(s);
  • Planning, coordinating, and managing the geotechnical aspects of the project design and project execution to ensure it meets the client's requirements;
  • Review construction activities and support testing of geotechnical materials;
  • Responsible for all aspects of geotechnical investigations, from project design, data analysis and evaluation of geotechnical conditions;
  • Oversee installation and implementation of geotechnical instrumentation monitoring programs;
  • Prepare and write proposals and technical reports;
  • Oversee contractor and subtrade activities on the site.


Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in either Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering, preferred;
  • Civil Construction experience is considered an asset;
  • Possess good technical writing skills;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize;
  • Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints;
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe;
  • Must be self-motivated and driven;
  • Proficient in English (written and oral) with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Valid BC driver's license.
