Position/Title: Principal at Gages Lake School
Qualifications: Valid Illinois Administrative License (GADM). Professional Educator License (PEL) (LBS1) preferred. Specialized experience specific to the population of the school.
Supervision: Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Assessment
Overview: The Principal is directly responsible for overseeing the daily programs and operation of the school and related itinerant staff assigned to the building. The Principal is also the educational leader who has the primary responsibility for improvement of instruction, curriculum and staff development. The Principal is responsible for short- and long-range planning which will enhance opportunities available for all students served by the program. This position is a 12-month supervisory level position.

Salary/Benefits: salary range $107,000 - $133,000 dependent on years of experience, locally competive benefit package.
Position open until filled. First round interviews anticipated to be scheduled the first week in July.

- The ED Alt. Program at Gages Lake School is SEDOL's public elementary therapeutic day school for kindergarten through 5th grade students who have significant emotional and behavioral needs. The focus of the program is to provide therapeutic interventions to help students manage their social emotional needs while developing their academic skills. The program incorporates positive interventions through a highly structured environment that provides students with opportunities to utilize these strategies. The goal is to help the students internalize learned skills and to then generalize these skills into a less restrictive educational setting.
- The Shaping Appropriate Behavior (SAB) Program at Gages Lake School is SEDOL's public elementary therapeutic day school for kindergarten through 12 th grade students who have intellectual disabilities and significant emotional and behavioral needs.
