About the Position

Interested in playing a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategies that focus on developing internal talent and enhance the effectiveness of an organization?
This temporary role is part of our Human Resources team at the Glencore Copper Division regional office in Laval, Quebec. The senior organizational development advisor will report directly to the Talent & Culture Lead and with two direct reports. You will act as a strategic partner and collaborate with leadership teams to identify skill gaps, design interventions and foster a positive, agile organizational culture. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in organizational development and strategic planning. The scope of this role will support our sites in Canada, USA and Philippines.

Key tasks in this role, but not limited to:

Strategic Planning
  • Work closely with various HR specialists to develop a talent strategy and organizational development initiatives, while outlining clear objectives and KPIs.
  • Analyze data and trends to make informed decisions for continuous improvement .
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure proper integration of organizational development initiatives with other business processes.
  • Lead the implementation of the Talent module for Success Factors (Performance management & Goals Management; Succession Management).
  • Support the launch of Cornerstone LMS and other HR tools, as required.
  • Support the deployment of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Talent development
  • Collaborate with HR teams and department heads to identify skill gaps, and implement training and development programs.
  • Lead, design and implement strategies for succession planning, talent calibration and individual development plans, all while aligning with global initiatives.
  • Support managers and provide guidance on performance feedback, goal setting and career development, in collaboration with HR Business Partners.

Leadership development

  • Design leadership development programs at the regional level to build on the existing foundation, both on an individual and team level
  • Lead and support the deployment of the global copper leadership development program.
  • Able to facilitate internal leadership development programs at the executive leadership level.
  • Measure and track the success of implemented programs, including the continuity of learning and development.
  • Provide coaching and PPA/DISC analysis debriefs at various levels of the organization

Specifically, the incumbent will be required to:
  • Operate within a dynamic work environment;
  • Work closely with a strategy-oriented HR team and collaborate with teams in various locations;
  • Leverage your creativity and innovative ideas.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Master's degree in organizational development, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in organizational development, leadership development, change management and diversity & inclusion
  • Proven ability to successfully develop and implement organizational development strategies in various environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication, coaching and facilitation skills in individual and team settings
  • Relevant certifications in organizational development, leadership development and adult learning will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Understanding of the mining or manufacturing industry; experience considered a strong asset.

Additional Information
Travels to our sites in Quebec (Montreal East and Rouyn-Noranda) and/or occasional travels to our sites in the United States and the Philippines.

Languages: Bilingual (English and French).
