Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Responsible for researching and conducting analyses of a budget, financial, or accounting planning, marketing and business development, or similar nature. Performs qualitative and quantitative research in analyzing business issues and opportunities. Coordinates, implements, and administers nontechnical nuclear plant support activities, includes but not limited to: business planning, Condition Reporting (CR) tracking and budget analysis process mapping. Span of control: 0; individual contributor.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budgets or plans.
  • Analyzes and assists in the preparation of financial-related statements, budgets, projections, reports, or documentation supporting such reports; develops and maintains metrics (i.e. records of performance measures, actual performance & outcomes) specific to the business unit.
  • Prepares and presents findings or supports such presentations -- on a wide variety of topics.
  • Develops and/or applies cost-benefit models or activities to maximize the business unit's out-puts.
  • Performs analyses to identify potential sources of loss or threats to business unit outcomes and minimize their effects.
  • Updates or develops data models & databases; engages in activities intended to maintain data integrity.
  • Performs benchmarking and analyzes nuclear trends and best practices to support business unit objectives.
  • Executes and promotes continuous improvement activities.


Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of job-related experience OR Associate's degree with four years of job related experience OR High School with six years of job related experience
  • Two years of nuclear power plant experience


Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization ERO in support of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan RERP.
  • Computer Skills: PC applications Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc
  • Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certiable drug and alcohol screen.
  • Works independently with workow involving movement between tasks. Understanding of Nuclear power plant operations and regulations.
  • Planning, scheduling, organization and analytical skills.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others and has good listening skills.
