Project/Operations Manager

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

As a Project/Opearations Manager at Davis H. Elliot you will be required to coordinate & oversee overhead Electric line construction work. Responsibilities for this position will include:

• Ensuring safe performance of the work.
• Effectively communicating with internal management, customers, engineers, and other employees.
• Developing new business and maintaining customer relationships.
• Assisting estimators on bids for new projects.
• Purchasing materials and contracting with subcontractors.
• Scheduling equipment, resources, and manpower for projects.
• Financial management of projects, including billing, change management, and cost projections.
• Developing team members at all levels of the organization.
• Construction document management.

Qualifications

• Passionate about the safety of fellow employees
• 5+ Years of experience recommended (Electric Utility Experience a Plus)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF software
• Valid drivers license
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
• Associate level degree or greater in related discipline preferred
