Currently seeking either a Family Nurse Practitioner or a Physician's Assistant specializing in Family Medicine, to join our amazing team of providers in our Riverton, WY location. Essential Functions:
- Perform all duties in accordance with the generally accepted standard of care for the medical profession and specialty
- Exercise and have complete control over the diagnosis and treatment of each patient
- Shall not give assurances outside of providers' scope of practice
- Maintain the credentialing required and engage in education as appropriate
- Maintain patient medical records that document evaluations, medications, treatments, allergies, test results, and other records
- Evaluate patient's symptoms and determine the appropriate course of treatment
- Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal statues and inform patients of possible risks, complications, and interference with other medications they may be taking
- Supervise and evaluate Medical Assistants to ensure compliance with regulations
- Consult with patients on proper nutrition, fitness, and hygiene, to assist them in making informed decisions and taking good care of their health
- Be self-sustaining as measured by contract production goals
- Engage in quality measures and outcomes as directed by CQI
- Complete all documentation and coding in a timely period within (72) hours of date of service
Education and Experience:
- Must be a graduate of a recognized and accredited training program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician's Assistants
- Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate competency in the clinic skills necessary to perform a range of primary care services for the patients who represent the spectrum of life cycles
- Licensure by the State and by the Drug Enforcement Administration is required
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a typical outpatient clinic environment and periodically at locations outside the office
- Some travel may be required, as we do have other facilities located throughout central Wyoming
