What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing the Employee Labour Relations strategy while enabling and maintaining positive relationships within a unionized environment
- Reviewing and implementing changes to HR policies, procedures and practices while ensure compliance is followed
- Driving effective recruitment and onboarding practices to engage and retain talent
- Managing and evaluating the Total Rewards program to ensure cost-effectiveness and competitiveness. Participate in annual review, preparation and implementation of the organization's wage and salary programs
- Keeping up to date on industry trends, best practices and legislation, while reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Managing training and development programs for employees
- Overseeing the company's Heath and Safety program and the functioning of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Developing and maintaining the company's Human Resource Information System
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry (Food & Beverage preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related discipline
- Professional HR Certification is an asset (i.e., CHRP/CHRL)
- 3+ years of experience working in a unionized environment
- Strong communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in Workforce Planning, Talent Management, Compensation, benefits, HRIS, Health & Safety and Labour Relations
