Army Navy Country Club, a full service, private member-owned club with two locations in Northern Virginia, is looking for an ambitious, 'up & coming' food and beverage professional to assist our experienced F&B Director in running the restaurants and banquet departments of the Arlington Clubhouse of this Platinum Club of America. With annual F&B revenues in excess of $10 million this position helps to guide and direct our team of F&B supervisors and managers, oversees our training programs and active Wine Club with 400+ members. This position will be a perfect next step for someone who has worked in food & beverage for a number of years and wants to gain additional experience at one of the top clubs on the East Coast. Experience with Jonas Club Software and a good knowledge of beverage/wine programs will be a distinct plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists Food and Beverage Director in oversight of the Banquet and Restaurant Managers in the day to day operations of the Food and Beverage Department Oversees all beverage programs throughout the club(includes all restaurant outlets and banquet operations) Must be knowledgeable on the latest industry trends in wine, beer, alcohol and N/A beverages Oversee the ANCC Wine Club Around 400 members 12+ wine events throughout the year(includes tastings, wine dinners, etc.) All off premise wine sales that comes through the Wine Club Must manage all relationships with outside beverage vendors Oversee the training programs for both Banquet and Restaurant Departments Oversee line-level in day-to-day operations in the Food and Beverage Department when needed (including but not limited to preparation, service, breakdown, and cleaning) Maintain atmosphere of respect among all staff, supervisors, and management team Streamline communication between FOH and BOH Facilitate training on service steps and concepts Works closely with our Catering department with any special events or event needs Establish oneself as a resource for event hosts and sponsors Perform monthly inventory Ensure opening and closing duties are performed(i.e. assigning prep work, emailing reports, locking storages) Assist Managers in interviews, onboarding, and training new staff as needed Ensure safety, quality, and operable stock of equipment and product Assistant Director of Food and Beverage with special projects Be willing to work a flexible schedule Show desire to learn and grow within the Club Show respect for others All other duties as assigned, including taking over some of the Banquet and Restaurant manager duties when they are out of the office
Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds Ability to speak, read, and write in English Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to operate computer systems including but not limited to POS terminals and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work holidays, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and extended hours
Education & Experience
Prior wine education is preferred Prior experience in club or restaurant operations management a must Degree or certificate in hospitality management preferred
