Job Description

This position provides software quality assurance services and will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Analyze functional, service level and technical requirements and use cases.

Write high quality deliverables such as test plans, manual test scripts.

Cross reference test scripts with requirements.

Execute a wide range of quality-control testing to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards including functional, regression, integration, performance, and compliance tests.

Conduct manual testing of software applications.

Document all detected issues and variances and assist in their resolution.

Work with cross functional teams, including technical, project, customer, and vendors.

Clearly document and communicate inconsistencies, issues.

Lead Test status and defect triage meetings with project team.

Lead/facilitate User Acceptance testing.

Send out timely testing status reports to the project team.

Follow defined AE IT standards and procedures in the creation of Test Plan/scenarios.

Assist with automated test scripts with knowledge in test automation frameworks.

Required Skills:

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Business or Computer Science or in a field related to the job. (Education or experience may be substituted up to a maximum of four (4) years)
• 5-7 Years of Extensive experience of software testing methodologies
• 5-7 Years of Experience documenting test plans, test requirements, defect tracking and resolution
• 5-7 Years of Experience writing, running, and maintaining test scripts
• 5-7 Years of Extensive experience in manual testing knowledge and experience
• 5-7 Years of Experience working with Test Management and Defect Management tools
• 5-7 Years of Experience leading and reporting test activities
• 5-7 Years of Proven work experience with analytical and problem-solving skills
• 5-7 Years of Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 5-7 Years of Experience with technical style guides and writing standards
• 5-7 Years of Experience with integration testing and best practices
• 5-7 Years of Experience communicating effectively with audiences of varying technical aptitudes

Preferred Skills:

• 3 Years of Knowledge of systems used to support the business of Utility, for example: IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) application, Oracle Customer Care and Billing application, Automated Data Management and Meter Data Management system applications
• 3 Years of Experience with IBM Engineering Lifycycle Management Management (ELM) or similar CLM tool
• 3 Years of Experience with IBM Rational Functional Tester and Rational Performance Tester tools and Selenium
