You will be a technical leader driving out the solutions to process in both public clouds as well as privately hosted cloud environments. The Data Architect is a full-time salaried position for 40 hours per week. The work schedule will mostly be between 7:30-5:00, Monday-Friday, with occasional nights and weekends.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Develop effective data architecture solutions that not only satisfy immediate project requirements but also align with a strategic vision, delivering a coherent, reusable, reliable, and phased architecture to help the business grow
- Manages risks associated with data and IT assets through the development, use, and promotion of the appropriate standards, security, privacy, and governance policies
- Translates business strategy and vision into a data strategy through partnerships with key business stakeholders
- Governing data more effectively by establishing a data governance framework to establish process changes and data owners, and enforcing and monitoring vis tools for key sensitive data like PII, Customer IP, HR sensitive data, etc.
- Conducts solution architecture design reviews for enterprise application solutions across all aspects of solution design, including infrastructure and distributed deployment (including public cloud and SaaS), information/data architecture, and integrations. Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and closely align with architectural guidelines.
- Negotiates data architecture solutions with multiple parties and interests and presents architectural designs and technical visions to cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Information Security teams to ensure data is secure and in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, Data Privacy, and data retention policies
- Lead the Strategy and define the architecture principles for the transactional data warehousing platform (Data Lake vs. DW) and Customer Data Platform.
- Prior experience as an enterprise data architect in a large enterprise supporting large, diverse user communities and business domains
- Working knowledge of enterprise data management solutions and platforms (i.e., MDM, data governance, metadata management, ETL, data quality management, data warehouse management)
- Possesses a broad knowledge of information technology architectures, principles, deployment, and operating models along with their application
- Working knowledge of code migration practices, database changes, and various stages of data sets through the development life cycle
- Provide thought leadership for the ongoing architecture of the data structure and the applications to enable elastic deployments within our enterprise ecosystem
- Provide detailed subject matter expertise in data architecture.
- Work with Business Owners and Senior Leadership to develop the platform's strategic roadmap and ensure appropriate architectural and technical items are suitably prioritized.
- Work with other technology leaders to ensure that architectural principles are aligned where appropriate.
- Produce key Architectural Documentation, including Overviews and Roadmaps, and use these to ensure formal architectural governance is correctly applied.
- Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Overseeing the project's development and ensuring that team members carry out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and evaluating trends
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Ironclad Environmental Solutions standards
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge with the willingness to keep on learning
- Work and liaise with the business on projects and cross-functional requests to ensure the solution supports our system architecture.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role in IT
- A Bachelor's degree or a combination of experience and certifications.
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience architecting and operating mission critical, high volume, low latency services onto elastic infrastructure ranging from public cloud to private data centers.
- Experienced with architecting high-performance application data services against data stores with very large amounts of data
- Experience with real-time data streaming tools such as Kafka, Storm, NIFI, AWS Kinesis, Azure Stream Analytics
- Database platforms: SQL Server, MySQL, Amazon S3, Azure
- ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Kafka Connect, or Oracle Data Integrator
- Third-party platform applications such as Eloqua, Salesforce, Workday, Oracle ERP Cloud, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Master Data Management, and Customer Data Management platforms.
- Experience transforming on-prem solutions to a hybrid cloud environment
- Experience with multi-cloud providers
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with running AI engines/rules engines and data caching technologies
- Experience with distributed computing solutions
- Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to translate complex technical information for senior management and product team

Working Conditions
The Data Architect is a full-time salaried position for 40 hours per week. The work schedule will mostly be between 7:30-5:00, Monday-Friday, with occasional nights and weekends.

- Bending, stretching, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. are required
