Job purpose

Manage accounting department to maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Provide information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities, which will assist management, its shareholders, and other users in making educated economic decisions about DNP's future. Manage financial planning and analysis. Plan and prepare budgets, analyze results, and make recommendations to Executives. Manage audit by third party.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Leads corporate planning and analysis team in the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes; develops budget as required.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and improve efficiency by re-engineering and applying best practices in budgeting, reporting, and consolidation processes to reduce time to reporting.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Monitors and confirms financial conditions audits; Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and make necessary recommendations.
  • Manges third-party audit; reviews and makes recommendations on any findings.
  • Support senior management in all the operating groups by providing financial perspectives and analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Responsible for all internal/external financial reporting and consolidating financial statements for the DNP companies as required; supply requested reports/information to HQ in Japan
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Works closely with business units across the company.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Other duties as necessary

Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, or related field or equivalent business experience and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in either discipline, preferably experience in both
  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial planning and analysis, income tax, and banking working knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate managerial abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory responsibilities over accounting and finance staff.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 5 pounds.
  • Ability to go to the production floor and work with factory and warehouse employees.

Safety Requirements

Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.

The hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
