ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for Budget Analyst candidates who will be responsible for analyzing the program budget and looking for ways to use resources more efficiently as well as identifying budget issues that need to be addressed, notifying management, and making recommendations for new budgeting strategies. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, OR Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of recent specialized experience, OR fifteen (15) years of recent specialized experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
All candidates will perform the following duties:
- Gather and organize financial data from all accounting departments.
- Compile and analyze financial reports to ensure their accuracy.
- Manage the general ledger and devote time to risk management, especially with regard to accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions so the government understands all costs.
- Forecast models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
- Six (6) years of recent specialized experience in finance.
- Results-oriented and process-driven.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
- Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
