PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Enterprise Director of IT Sourcing will possess extensive knowledge of IT sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation within healthcare settings. They will lead the sourcing team in identifying, evaluating, and procuring IT solutions and services that align with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with industry regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements strategic sourcing initiatives to meet the IT needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, assess market trends, and identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
  • Leads the evaluation and selection of IT vendors and suppliers, conducting thorough assessments of capabilities, reliability, and performance.
  • Establishes selection criteria and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiates contracts with IT vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
  • Ensures contracts comply with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and industry standards. Review and revise contract terms as necessary to mitigate risks and optimize value for the organization.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with IT vendors and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor interactions.
  • Monitors vendor performance, adherence to contractual obligations, and resolution of any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • In conjunction with the Business leaders, identifies opportunities for cost optimization, implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or service delivery.
  • Ensures sourcing activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Mitigates sourcing-related risks by implementing appropriate controls, conducting due diligence on vendors, and monitoring compliance throughout the sourcing process.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, department heads, and senior leadership, to understand IT requirements, prioritize needs, and address challenges.
  • Communicates sourcing strategies, initiatives, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises employees to include evaluating and completing annual evaluations. Instructs employees in methods or procedures needed to carry out their job as well as makes work assignments. Responsible for overseeing staffing for Clinical buyers to include hiring, training, directing, and coaching.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing, including contract negotiations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
    • Experienced and dynamic Director of IT Sourcing with a strong background in the healthcare industry.

    LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

    Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) or related field is highly preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • In-depth knowledge of IT sourcing processes, best practices, and industry trends.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
    • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Ability to drive change and support multiple priorities simultaneously.
