The essential function of the (M4) Production Manager is to oversee and manage the daily operations of the work cells under his/her scope of authority, and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain to achieve necessary production outcomes.Assess and communicate production issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

The production manager oversees a team of primarily intermediate or experienced professionals, with freedom to determine how assignments are completed (e.g., objectives and approaches to completing work).

Job expectations including but not limited to:
  • Continually assists in the daily ad hoc needs of the business, work cells under his/her support, and the Senior Operations Manager
  • Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus
  • Makes data driven decisions, seeks to understand and communicate key performance indicators aligned to the business needs
  • Identifies problems and recommends solutions, such as reallocating resources, changing internal procedures, and contractual specifications, and assisting resolution development
  • Assists in reviewing, editing, and adherence to policies, practices, and procedures
  • Sets objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of operational results
  • Leads and conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Reviews status of projects and production plans, manages people, schedules, assigned tasks, and prepares status reports
  • Prepares reports to communicate the status of work cells, active projects, and assignments within the operations team
  • Seeks to gather and infuse data for performance tracking wherever practical
  • Leads project plans, production schedules, and resources for products under his/her responsibility, and identifies, develops, and gathers necessary support to ensure project completion


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and6 years of relevant experience OR

Advance degree and4 years of relevant experience OR

In absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous operations management experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
