Digital Specialist

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Specialist must have a rare combination of skills: be great with people, a strategic and creative thinker, willing to dive deep into the details, but able to see the larger picture. Need to have experience in user interface design, analytics, client management, technical project management, and marketing. The candidate must have produced many web/digital products and have a wealth of experience in bringing digital experiences to market. Demonstrated the capability of owning a digital product and be able to determine required features, set a roadmap, and produce wireframes, flow diagrams, and other support materials. The candidate is expected to lead and coordinate the content and production efforts across venues with shared resources. Soliciting feedback and reaching consensus with business stakeholders and collaborate with a broad team product managers, designers and engineers are essential in the successful candidate.

The candidate must have a keen ability and attention to detail, interpersonal skills, project management, collaboration and digital acumen to deliver exceptional, compelling experiences on time and on budget. The candidate will collaborate and coordinate across Bellco's functional areas including digital, CU Collaborative, S3, OTS, marketing, brand, operations and external partners/vendors to analyze, ideate and establish plans for exceptional member experiences.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Associate Director, Digital

Supervises: None

Contacts: Primarily interacts with internal staff, CU Collaborative, OTS, S3, managers, and executives. Also includes occasional or incidental interactions with auditors, members examiners, vendors, suppliers, service providers and other financial institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience

  • 5+ years of marketing, product management, product owner, communications experience, professional digital experience practitioner
  • Proficient with web technologies and platforms including CMS platforms like Wordpress or Drupal, HTML/CSS, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing landscape and experience with/knowledge of SEO, content marketing, email marketing, SEM, display advertising, audio advertising, video advertising.
  • A strong eye for design/layout and web/mobile UI/UX. Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (or other relevant tools) for graphics maintenance.
  • Financial services experience preferred


Skills
  • Strong project management skills, understanding of the digital and creative space, including experience with Information Architecture, content strategy, web development, SEO, and analytics
  • Provides insight into job estimating and timing, as well as monitoring status to ensure the timely completion of tactic within scope, agency and internal resources, and proper capabilities alignment
  • Directly executes design, configuration, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, and/or modification of digital assets, including rapid prototypes based on and related to user or platform design specifications.
  • Ensure quality control to ensure data integrity, application/product reliability, and submit performance/product recommendations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provides a valuable and enjoyable experience to both internal customers and members during interactions. Consistently suggests ways to improve the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology
  • Maintain and update content on Bellco.org and other digital properties. Content and production lead for digital properties for all content posted to the site, social media outlets, email marketing, online/mobile platforms in coordination with stakeholders and our compliance process.
  • Lead on all web-based audit and compliance issues regarding digital marketing and online and mobile banking.
  • Internal expert for email marketing campaigns. Designs and develops marketing emails, determines send cadence, manages contact lists, develops automated campaigns.
  • Responsible for developing and managing strong relationships with internal leadership and understanding their needs pertaining to marketing analytics and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders: portfolio managers, digital team, operations, and broader marketing teams to determine marketing best practices in the digital space.
  • Guide the development of Bellco's overall internet strategy; serve on internet related committees/teams; liaise with IT function on technology/infrastructure issues. Contribute to the definition of roadmaps, strategies, and management of products ranging from concepts in ideation through to market delivery.
  • Participate in reporting activity for Bellco.org, social media channels, online and mobile banking, such as behavior analysis, site traffic, campaign effectiveness and target segmentation; recommend enhancements.
  • Write final specifications based on a synthesis of user needs, business imperatives, market forces, technical restrictions and requirements, and business goals/needs. Builds prototypes visual prototypes as needed.
  • Remain current on HCI, UCD and Design trends.
  • Previous experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, collaborate and manage with clear expectations, constructive input and inspired results.
  • The proven ability to build positive long standing relationships with vendors, partners and staff.


Equipment

Online computer terminal keyboard and visual monitor, calculator, copier, fax, telephone, printer. Software used regularly includes: MS Office Productivity Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, other prototype and diagraming, analytic tools.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing Team members and vendors to ensure consistency and optimization of positioning, branding, product/service messages in all internal and external online communications and materials.
  • Attend departmental meetings to gain knowledge on strategic planning as it impacts your position and the department as a whole.
  • Attend classes, workshops, and training seminars to remain current with all emerging technologies, digital graphic design software, and best practices regarding online delivery channels.


  • Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Office environment. Mobility to move throughout department and corporate offices.

    In order to meet the financial service needs of our members, this position may necessitate changes in hours or location in order to assist with marketing/branch events. This will require some evening and weekend hours, primarily to support community events.

    Must be able to lift and carry boxes and event supplies.

    Bellco requires all employees that drive their personal or a company vehicle in the routine performance of their jobs to have a valid driver's license. They must provide proof of valid insurance.

    Non-branch non-management roles may be eligible for on-the-spot bonuses for extraordinary performance.
