Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Knowledge : Understand the basics of IT infrastructure, covering networks, servers, storage, web environments, and virtual/cloud settings.
- Technical Requirements Evaluation : Assess technical needs and recommend solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices.
- Project Oversight : Provide leadership and accountability for one or more large, complex projects, ensuring they adhere to organizational standards and practices.
- Vendor Coordination : Manage projects that involve vendor collaboration, complex scheduling, and integration with other systems.
- Project Characteristics : Handle projects typically lasting over 6 months with 20+ team members, requiring communication at senior leadership levels and entailing medium to high risk.
- Methodology Adherence : Ensure projects align with the client's project management methodology, investment management, and systems engineering practices.
- Long-Term Planning : Conduct long-term release planning in line with organizational objectives.
- Stakeholder Interaction : Regularly update project management teams on the status of budget, quality, and schedule.
- Issue Escalation : Elevate issues and risks to executive levels as needed.
- Quality Control : Perform quality control activities to ensure project scope and expectations are met.
