APP Neuro Oncology
Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Physicians Neuro-Oncology/Brain Tumor Center at the Piedmont Atlanta. We are looking for a talented and motivated medical professional to support our ever-growing services and patient-population. This is primarily a Monday-Friday position, with primarily outpatient responsibilities, and with periodic inpatient responsibilities. There will be occasional participation in a night/weekend call coverage in a rotating call pool. No formal specialty training/experience is necessary. You will receive on-the-job training/certifications to successfully transition from apprenticeship to both supportive responsibilities and select mentored independence.
In this role you will:
Serve a lead role caring for outpatients, including supporting the physicians see patients and seeing select patients independently. This involves participation in multidisciplinary care and conferences, as well as documentation.
Serve a supportive role in caring for inpatients, including rounding, correspondence with other members of the healthcare team, and documentation.
Assist in conductance of Neuro-Oncology services, including chemotherapy and related medicines, procedures, palliative care, and transitions of care.
Assist in the conductance of clinical trials, including participation in research activities and becoming a sub-investigator in select trials.
Assist in working with other healthcare team entities, including the NIH, state/national societies, research organizations, not for profits, and vendors such as rehabs, palliative/hospice, etc. Expectation that some evening/weekend opportunities at least periodic participation will be essential.

Qualifications:
Qualifications 1-2 years of experience as an APP.
Must have active state license by an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification --or-- Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
