JOB TITLE: Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance, safety, and security of EPTAM Precision's Plastic Injection and CNC Machining Systems along with the overall manufacturing facility. This role ensures that the facilities systems and services meet the needs of the employees and the demands of production. The Facilities Manager will manage the facilities team, coordinate with vendors, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Knowledge of Plastic Injection Systems:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for plastic injection systems.
    • Schedule and oversee regular inspections and repairs specific to plastic injection equipment.
    • Ensure all plastic injection machinery is in optimal working condition.
  • Knowledge of CNC Machining Systems:
    • Apply knowledge of CNC machining systems to maintain and operate CNC equipment effectively.
    • Schedule and perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure high productivity and minimal downtime.
    • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining systems to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Facility Management Systems (Safety, OSHA, etc.):
    • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure facility safety.
    • Implement safety policies and procedures, including adherence to OSHA regulations.
    • Utilize facility management systems to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Maintenance Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services.
    • Manage energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures.
    • Coordinate facility space allocation and layout adjustments.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management:
    • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
    • Supervise contractors during renovations, installations, and other projects to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Prepare and present reports on facility operations and financial performance.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and lead the facilities team, providing training and development..
  • Emergency Response:
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring the facility is prepared for potential hazards and emergencies.
    • Support & Develop Business Continuity Team at Manufacturing Facility


  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to facility management.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to facility operations.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and practices within the facility.


  • MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with CNC and injection molding systems and machines.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with maintenance management systems and safety compliance.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
    • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent certification preferred.
    • Valid driver's license.
  • OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
    • Proficient in the use of facilities management software.
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
