As a facility medical director (FMD) you will manage the oversight of emergency medicine (EM) physicians and advanced practice clinicians. FMD, in collaboration with TeamHealth regional medical director, vice president of operations, senior VP, and clinical senior VP leadership team, is responsible for developing and sustaining relationships within nursing and hospital leadership teams to impact clinical strategies, create improved workflows, resulting in high patient satisfaction scores, and value-based healthcare delivery. FMD is a result-oriented, strategic leader with a passion to provide high-quality patient care, ED process improvement, and providing access to healthcare to the community. To help with your success, in addition to collaborating with senior leadership, you will receive support from our administrative departments including billing/coding, clinical documentation, human resources, credentialing/medical staff, patient safety and risk management, payroll, and more.

An ideal candidate will have:

• AOBEM or ABEM board certified or board eligible within 5 years of residency or board certified IM or FM with ED experience
• Three to five years of leadership experience managing physicians preferred
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Ability to work well with a variety of personalities and communication styles
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Outstanding presentation skills
• Computer and EMR proficient
• Works well in a team environment
