The Castle Rock School District is seeking outstanding candidates for a Speech & Language Pathologist position for the 2024-25 school year. This position will provide speech and language services in the areas of student assessment, direct therapy, training and consultation for staff, parents, and equipment fabrication or adaptation to enable students to function to their highest possible level within the educational system. The Speech Language Pathologist is also part of the District Evaluation/Assessment Team and is responsible for the evaluation of new referral students. education director.

Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Participate as a member of a building team in the assessment and evaluation of students in the eligibility determination process in accordance with state and school division requirements and best practices. Conduct diagnostic speech/language and communication assessments, identify needs, prepare therapy plans, and participate in eligibility and IEP conferences. Based upon student assessment, develop, and implement Individualized Education Plans. Comply with all Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming, including obtaining written Medicaid consent from parents of all students served and timely filing of claims that meet Medicaid standards. Monitor student's progress in therapy and generate progress reports and complete Medicaid electronic logs for eligible students. Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development and individual student needs by providing relevant instruction according to the IEP and educational best practices. Provide therapeutic services to students with identified Communication Disorders, including case management for communication-disordered only students. Work collaboratively with special education and general education teams in developing and delivering speech-language services to support communication skills relevant to educational performance. Maintain records and information concerning individual students in the prescribed confidential manner and use the records and information only for the purposes for which they are maintained according to FERPA guidelines. Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services related to expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language. Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community for the purpose of fostering individual student success and growth while engaging the families in the therapy program. Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships with administrative and school staff. Participate in various meetings for the purpose of addressing student goals and needs, and to meet laws and policies. Maintain and submit information/records including student progress for all students. Attendance at building and department meetings as required. Share with other staff members the responsibility for school activities and student supervision. Scheduling and conducting IEP meetings and participating as an IEP team member in a timely professional manner. Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours specified under the contract. Implement and comply with District policies and procedures.
Other Functions:Perform related duties as assigned by the administration in accordance with school district policies and procedures.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Licensing/Credential and/or Education Requirements:M.A or M.S Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Must possess or be eligible for Washington State ESA certification as Speech Language Pathologist/Audiologist. Eligible for Department of Health license as an SLP. Successful training/teaching experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with age-appropriate students, staff, and community. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement appropriate positive behavior interventions for students. Demonstrated interest in and evidence of continued personal and professional growth.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
