The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the AFRL/RIOS Communications and Computer Systems Branch Junior Enterprise IT Planner and Project Manager, as well as the Junior Enterprise Architect, supporting the AFRL/RI RDT&E Mission and Operational Enterprises.
As the Jr. Enterprise IT Planner and Project Manager, you will assist and take direction from the Sr. Lead with these duties:
- Manage cost, schedule, and performance of new Enterprise IT system integrations and upgrades.
- Manage and delegate resources to execute IT projects; working with the Lead, provide recommendations for improved resource management at the project level.
- Provide support and perform complex tasks with multiple dependencies, including installation planning activities, provide project management and installation execution skills for delivering integrated Enterprise IT and Network products.
- Monitor team activities throughout, maintaining awareness of availability status, problems confronted, and courses of action taken through periodic meetings, reports, and direct/indirect management of the project team members.
- Review project management plans, work plans, schedules, budget, contractor performance, quality assurance, communications, contracts, material management, and procurement.
- Develop briefs and communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders up to the customer level, including branch and division level management.
- Ensure project milestones are met and identify risks to the completion of the work that may require additional staff or resources, which in turn directly impact budgets and deployment schedules.
As the Jr. Enterprise IT Architect, you will assist and take technical direction from the Enterprise lead in the following duties:
- Manage assigned information technology communications systems life cycles.
- Analyze and document system design of enterprise hardware and software.
- Develop, recommend, and monitor installation solutions and upgrades to ensure availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of all components of the assigned systems.
- Provide ongoing technical support to customers to ensure proper functional use of equipment and programs, precluding undue interruptions to IT and communications services.
- Provide support to customers to ensure efficient operations which support mission requirements.
- Identify and document system requirements for specific needs of customers.

Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Individuals must have at least one (1) year of Specialized Experience at the next lower grade that demonstrates each of the four competencies listed below:

Desired Qualifications
- Degree in an Information Technology field (Networking, Enterprise Servers, Storage, Cloud)
- Microsoft, Linux, VMware certification
- ITIL or Project Management certification
- Prior DoD work experience, civilian or military
