Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day management of research, gift processing, pledge management, matching gifts, and biographical and demographic record areas of Advancement Services, including prospect and event data. Develops and recommends policies and procedures that ensure accurate and efficient data management and research to enable the division to make data-based decisions related to its fundraising and engagement efforts.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the supervision and performance management of assigned staff
2. Responsible for the acceptance, processing and receipting of gifts to Raiser's Edge NXT or similar database
3. Leads university wide Gift Acceptance Committee
4. Collects and maintains quality biographical data for constituents
5. Manages Raiser's Edge or similar database security, configuration, fields, processes and documentation
6. Manages event data and registration processes
7. Oversees complex data queries and creates and tests data exports for gift accounting, management reports, and a wide variety of biographical data
8. Uses third-party tools to integrate data sets from multiple software vendors to incorporate a variety of student, parent, organizational, prospect, and volunteer information into Raiser's Edge NXT or similar data sets and processes
9. Leads and manages prospect management initiatives
10. Provides research and recommendations for donor strategies including but not limited to prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
11. Provides appropriate information for clients across the division and university for communication, marketing, engagement, solicitation and stewardship purposes
12. Oversees creation and maintenance of management reporting dashboards for the division
13. Maintains guidelines and procedures for advancement, development, alumni, annual giving and donor relations
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Required Experience
Seven (7) years of experience of related advancement experience, preferably in non-profit or academic institutions to include previous supervisory or management experience.

Advanced knowledge of IRS Rules and Regulations related to Charitable gifts of all types
Advanced knowledge of CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education)
Management Standards for Higher Education
Advanced knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT or similar CRM platforms
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Experience with data management and integration software for import, export, and list management standards and best practices
Experience in staff management and training
Advanced experience with business intelligence software such as Power BI and creating management dashboards

In-depth knowledge of complex database software, operation of Microsoft platforms and google applications, and the ability to generate both standard and ad-hoc queries and reports
Demonstrated knowledge of IRS regulations around gift recording and receipting, gift accounting and CASE guidelines
Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations
Prior experience with Charitable Gilt principals and processing
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Desire to provide service to the greater team and help other units with their projects
