Position Summary
The Manager of Student Services organizes and directs student clinical partnerships, clinical rotation management, and clinical specialists for students within SRHS.
The Manager of Student Services is responsible for the strategic direction of SRHS student initiatives including integration of operations through an increase in students, promotion of employment and pre-hire timelines, student clinical onboarding, response to student experience and evaluation feedback. Applies the management concepts of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling to implement the student services program. Supports the strategic workforce development initiatives including recruitment and retention of students.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Experience
- Bachelors prepared RN with at least 3 years of experience as a bedside RN
- 3 years of experience in nursing academic setting
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of leadership experience in academic and/or acute care setting

- Masters prepared RN
Required Licenses/Registrations/Certifications
- Unrestricted nursing license permitting practice in South Carolina
- BLS Certification
- Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required to meet the needs of the students and staff
Core Job Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates all aspects within student services
- Serves as the primary contact and academic expert for clinical and academic partners
- Manages the clinical assignment correlation with each school's student objectives and course outcomes
- Manages the clinical rotation schedule to ensure equal distribution of clinical students at each SRHS campus
- Oversees nursing and allied health clinical specialists
- Round on all nursing clinical groups and faculty weekly to build positive relationships, promote SRHS standards, and address any questions or concerns
- Assumes responsibilities for myClinicalExchange software and student onboarding
- Oversees the content and course design for the DHEC approved SRHS Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course
- Partner with school and university liaisons for strategic placement of students to support both healthcare programs and hospital strategy
- Identify and resolve barriers to clinical programs, student access, and support standardization initiatives throughout South Carolina
- Oversees SRHS processes for student access, badge, and clerical support
- Partner with Clinical Education as an academic resource, facilitator, and instructor
- Serves on clinical and academic Advisory Boards to promote positive relationships with community and academic partners as assigned
- Conduct research to provide ongoing best practice initiatives to allow SRHS to advance strategic student and new graduate initiatives
- Provide Preceptor Development for qualified SRHS nursing associates including annual competencies
- Predictive Student Hiring Events in partnership with Recruitment
- Develop and maintain the SRHS skills competency validation checklist for student clinical skills to maximize clinical experience
- Oversight of the academics and course curriculum for the Clinical Accelerated Readiness Experience (CARE) program and partnership
- Partner with clinical programs to support academia engagement for everchanging healthcare needs
- Evaluates the student experience, achievement, and progress in relation to clinicalobjectives
- Develops and participates in orientation and in-service education and simulation programs for areas of specialization; assists and works cooperatively with faculty and student nurses who have clinical practice in the same area
- Counsels and evaluates associates for optimum performance
