OVERVIEW
Join our dedicated team as a Manager, Supply Chain, Service Provider Reporting! Reporting to the Director, the Manager is responsible to ensuring the reporting and payment processes are executed in accordance with the supply chain contracts. Members of the team work closely with program leadership and partners to ensure that reporting and payments are in accordance with contracts and the transactional data is of high quality for use in analytics and performance analysis. The team mandate continues to expand as more Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations are implemented throughout Canada and increase reliance on the data integrity our department oversees.
Leads a team that is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of supply chain, service provider reporting data, and adherence of partners to established reporting standards.
The Manager's main accountability will be to provide information and support to Director, leadership team, and business lines by exercising strong leadership and relationship management, A great degree of flexibility is required as project management and pilot oversight may be required from time to time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for defining team performance, setting team goals, measuring, and reporting on tonnage reporting.
- Develop/enhance supply chain KPIs, reports, and business processes/cadences to ensure continuous improvements.
- Primary subject matter expert as it relates to various scorecards, metrics, and measurement/reporting.
- Responsible for maintaining an agile reporting environment and the infrastructure required to respond to reporting needs from the field and business lines efficiently. Influences internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage this process efficiently.
- Provide leadership and overall direction by fostering a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Key liaison for external vendors on all matters related to contract reporting.
- Drives service provider compliance with reporting standards and implement corrective action when required.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the core business processes that are the responsibility of the Service Provider Reporting Team.
- Team Management:
- Establishing and assigning work priorities and standards.
- Overseeing work of all team members and monitoring adherence to SOPs, relevant Circular Materials policies and established standards.
- Provide training and support to team members on SOPs, information systems, service standards and policies.
- Documenting employee performance results.
- Inspire the team to ensure the development of best practices, skills, critical/strategic thinking, and pro-active problem solving in partnerships with the business.
- Monitor costs and tonnage and identify vendor anomalies/emerging patterns and ensure they are brought to the attention of the Operations Manager and/or the Collection Channel Manager.
- Leads the coordination and tracking of communication to leadership and others in the Supply Chain network as it relates to inbound inquiries on performance management programs, systems, and reporting. This includes: Tracking/trending of key issues/concerns and providing recommendations to address emerging issues.
- Facilitates informed business decisions and makes recommendations on levers that will drive growth, and understanding of business problems to support decision making by:
- Continuously analyzing data to facilitate better understanding of key business drivers.
- Conducting data mining and analysis to turn results into actionable insights.
- Designing and developing new reports to support management including but not limited to - visualization tools, complex data and logic tools, and self-service dashboards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify resource gaps, system requirements, and develop short and long-term solutions accordingly.
- Understand how the department's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Make recommendations regarding reporting automation, cost savings and productivity opportunities.
- Up to 10-15% travel throughout Canada.
- Peak work periods (quarterly reporting, business planning/budgeting) may require extended hours to meet deadlines.
WHAT YOU BRING
Interpersonal/Communications:
(a) Internal Relationship
- Works closely with Directors and Operations Managers and raises issues of concern related to reporting anomalies and compliance with vendor standards.
- A track record of building and motivating team of committed, dedicated well-aligned professionals that deliver results; a collaborative approach; proven ability to achieve results through others.
- Works with Field Services Team to identify vendor site visits for training and/or remediation.
- Finance (i.e., accounts payable) / Business intelligence Data Analytics / Technical Advisory Services.
(b) External Relationships
- Collectors/ Transporters/Processors / Municipalities/ local governments/ First Nations
- SAP consultants, SAP systems analyst(s) to optimize data capture in information systems/ Contractors.
Responsibility:
(a) Supervision
- Manages the team members and is responsible for recruitment, performance management and exit process.
(b) Resources/Budget
- Responsible for Purchase order (approx.) $300M
- Annual supply chain budget
(c) Decision Making
- Presents recommendations to the Operations Managers, Directors re: qualification of vendors, performance of vendors.
- Provides input and recommendations for annual operating plans.
Education/Skills/Experience/Designations:
(a) Education
- Post-secondary education related to business, supply chain or program administration.
- Lean Sigma
(b) Experience
- At least 7-10 years in an operations environment, preferably with supply chain experience in a business or a private sector/municipal sector waste management environment.
(c) Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Expert knowledge of SAP (Material management model, FICO).
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to forge solid internal and external relationships.
- Strong proficiency with analytics, reporting, and presentation tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to promote and foster effective teamwork and establish excellence in a customer service-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and creativity in problem- solving, with the ability to thrive in a changing environment with frequent and competing priorities.
