The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description
  • Under limited supervision, responsible for the analysis, development and execution of data solutions, in order to manage the information lifecycle needs of an organization
  • Collect, integrate and analyze organizational data with the purpose of drawing conclusions about that information
  • Develop, construct, test and maintain data architectures for data platform, database, analytical/reporting, or data science systems
  • Establish and build data systems including providing standards, policies, practice, procedures, governance and quality assurance for data deliverables
  • Recommend methods to improve data reliability, quality, and efficiency.
    Design and develop programs and tools to support ingestion, curation and provisioning of complex enterprise data to achieve analytics, reporting, and data science
  • Identify process improvements that address complex technology gaps within a single business process
  • Build strong knowledge of technology enablers
  • Analyze and prepare complex technology enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process
  • Provide successful deployment and provisioning of data solutions to production or other required environments
  • Design and build data provisioning workflows/pipelines, physical data schemas, extracts, data transformations, and data integrations
  • Design and build data architecture and applications that enable reporting, analytics, data science, and data management
  • Improve accessibility, efficiency, governance, processing, and quality of data
  • Make recommendations for how to improve data; apply machine learning concepts to work as applicable
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 10%
Qualifications
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
  • Data engineering languages and tools including: AWS, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Linux scripting, and Python
  • General programming languages and frameworks including: UXPin, Snowflake, Automation, Blockchain, AWS, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Linux scripting, and Python
  • Developing on multiple platforms
  • IT concepts, strategies, methodologies
  • Diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts
  • Layered systems architectures solutions and designs and shared data engineering concepts
  • Business function(s) and I/T industry business issues
  • Business operations, strategies and objectives
  • Agile data engineering concepts and processes
  • Backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 10%
