Key Responsibilities:
Distribution Center Oversight:
- Manage daily activities encompassing inbound/outbound operations and retail reverse logistics ensuring on-time processing.
- Align staffing levels at the 3PL partner facility with demand to meet productivity goals while ensuring proper training is in place.
KPI Monitoring & Process Development:
- Track order accuracy, delivery timeliness, productivity, and lead performance review meetings with the 3PL.
- Develop new processes for efficiency gains; identify bottlenecks in fulfillment processes.
Inventory Management:
- Lead investigations into discrepancies between Point of Sale (POS) - Cegid Y2 and Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring timely resolutions within 24 hours.
- Monitor DC quarterly cycle count in partnership with the 3PL and ensure discrepancy investigations resolved within 48 hours.
- Oversee OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) process for inventory originating from central distribution centers and reverse from stores.
- Partner with 3PL to maintain non-sellable bins, address shrinkage claims, optimize bin utilization and prevent inventory depreciation due to damages.
Incident Resolution:
- Work closely with IT incident manager to identify root cause of inventory discrepancies between systems and follow up to ensure IT incidents are resolved promptly.
Packaging and Consumable Management:
- Monitor packaging inventory levels for eCommerce operations while avoiding overstock situations.
- Collaborate with 3PLs for cost-efficient consumables management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate current inventory management processes for optimization opportunities.
- Implement best practices and lead process improvements to streamline operations.
Project Management:
- Participate in DC operation projects, focusing on process improvements and technology enhancements with 3PL partner.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field
- 4-6 years' experience in a similar role in a distribution center with eCommerce fulfillment
- Luxury distribution and logistics is a plus.
- 3PL experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management system such as Manhattan
Preferred Skills:
- Analytical skills coupled with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to work cross-functionally across various departments like planning, IT, eCommerce, inventory & internal control etc.
- Strong ownership and Leadership skills
- Able to work independently
- Knowledge in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
