Position Overview:
Bradken is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Engineer to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. This role is crucial in providing engineering support for business cases, planning, design, and management of allocated capital, compliance-related projects, and facilities equipment management. The Facilities Engineer will also recommend and implement plant modifications to enhance operability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, create, and optimize documentation related to the safe operation of the plant, including correct start-up and shut-down processes and equipment status and condition.
  • Assist in identifying and executing process improvement initiatives, machinery, and facilities projects within the business.
  • Responsible for engineering changes to facilities and equipment.
  • Implement process improvement strategies for the business.
  • Ensure accurate project costing, resourcing, and forecasting.
  • Develop strategies to improve the efficiency and reliability of facility equipment, such as air compressors, firefighting systems, roofing, drainage systems, and air conditioning.
  • Design, install, and commission new equipment.
  • Ensure the safe and legal decommissioning of old plant equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and foster a safety-driven culture among all staff.
  • Oversee the management and installation of foundry and facility CAPEX projects, including budget and schedule oversight, change orders, engineering changes, and inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or associate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar software.
Experience:
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and understand critical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of fabrication.

Pay Range: $73,618 - $101,225
