Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Deputy Software Architect to join a diverse team to create unique solutions to complex problems. Our offices across the United States engage in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
As a Deputy Software Architect at Leidos, you will part of a software development program that supports product development by providing software framework architecture and vision for a complex simulation environment to include weapons, sensors, environment, and threat models. The position requires strong communication skills and ability to support cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with minimum of 5 years of professional experience; or 2 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree; or no experience required with a related PhD or JD.
Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret.
Preferred Qualifications .

Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

- Development of software architecture to meet capability requirements in coordination with MDA and Engineering Team
- Design of Software, providing guidance, development, and review of any delegated design work to ensure the integrity of the software architecture and that it meets the requirements of the program.
- Develop use cases, architecture artifacts, and best practices for the design of the simulation.
- Develop design packages for use the by agile development teams in the implementation of capabilities.
- Develop and provide design documentation and plans that will be presented to various leaders and customers.
- Develop and assist in producing contract deliverables (CDRLs)
