Responsibilities:
Client Relationships:
- Establish professional relationships with client families to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide compassionate guidance throughout the funeral and cemetery planning process.
- Educate families on pre-need planning options and assist with decision-making.
Sales and Service:
- Conduct sales presentations, both on-site and off-site, to promote merchandise and service options.
- Assist families in selecting burial plots, crypts, niches, or memorial gardens.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation related to funeral and cemetery arrangements are accurate and compliant.
Support and Coordination:
- Conduct tours of cemetery locations and attend cemetery services and visitations.
- Coordinate with cemetery staff to ensure chosen locations meet family preferences.
Administration and Compliance:
- Complete necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with state and industry regulations.
- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver outstanding service and support to families.
- Maintain positive communication with funeral homes, departments, and team members.
Aftercare and Follow-up:
- Schedule and conduct aftercare appointments to ensure client satisfaction and obtain referrals.
- Provide ongoing support to families before, during, and after funeral services.
Training and Development:
- Participate in location and company training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related fields preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Bi-lingual skills (especially fluent in Spanish) are advantageous.
- Must obtain both a resident producer insurance license (if not already possessed), as well as a Utah preneed sales agent license (if not already possessed.)
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Willing to work a rotating shift Monday-Saturday, 9a-5p.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $65,000 - $125,000 annually, dependent on experience and performance. (This is a base salary plus commission position)
