UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) Perianesthesia Services Educator to join the PACU team..

The Perianesthesia Services Educator provides leadership for the assurance of clinical workforce competence. Emphasizing service excellence, patient safety, staff safety and organizational values, the PSE provides leadership and resources that promote the effective orientation and evaluation of baseline skill level and competencies. In addition, education of staff regarding clinical or informatics issues, and provision of opportunities for nursing staff to refine/advance their competencies in patient care and critical thinking.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. Day shift.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

BSN and two years of recent professional Pre-anesthesia/PACU nursing experience.

Charge or Supervisor nurse experience required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum of 2 years of recent Perianesthesia nursing experience and

demonstrated ability to organize and teach educational offerings.

Bachelors degree in nursing, certification in perianesthesia specialty,

and professional association membership/activities (ASPAN).
