The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work on our People Team as a People Business Partner. In this role, you will report to the Vice President, People and be responsible for providing outstanding service, consultation and support to the leaders and team members within their assigned business unit. In this role, you will work to understand business unit objectives and develop strategies to support people practices that enable leaders and team members to meet business objectives effectively. In addition, you will work to proactively identify potential issues, resolve team member matters, coach and advise leaders, interpret policies and laws to mitigate risks and develop approaches to effectively execute the organization's core HR processes and deliverables.
In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with designated business unit (BU) leaders to effectively implement core people processes and ensure a high-quality and consistent team member experience that aligns with the business unit's goals and objectives.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work on our People Team as a People Business Partner. Key Result Areas
- Partner with VP, People and BU leadership to understand goals and priorities. Identify the necessary strategies and plans to ensure effective people practices are in place to support business goal achievement.
- Create awareness of and support for Curi's talent, compensation and pay for performance philosophies. Ensure Curi's values are integrated in daily practices and actions.
- Oversee and lead the core HR processes for respective BU (performance management, compensation rewards administration, goal planning, talent assessment, feedback mechanisms, leader coaching, training, etc.).
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify and anticipate recruiting needs within the BU, help with sourcing strategies and job description creation.
- Partner with leaders and others across organization to assist with change management initiatives to ensure effective communication, training, feedback loops and measurement strategies are in place for key change initiatives.
- Monitor current policies and practices to ensure they meet the needs of the BU and the broader organization. Recommend alternative strategies as appropriate. Ensure consistent interpretation of policies and practices.
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations matters quickly, efficiently and consistently.
- Stay up to date in changing HR practices and offers suggestions to improve current processes.
- Design and deliver training programs to leaders and team members leveraging internal and external resources to meet business unit needs.
- In partnership with the people team, help to develop, execute and operationalize and promote Curi's Inclusion strategy and other broader initiatives.
- Effectively build and maintain relationships within and outside of assigned business unit, with leaders and all levels of employees and across the people team
- Ability to make decisions fairly and consistently, offer alternative ideas and support leaders in messaging to team members.
- Foster a culture of innovation by presenting new ideas, challenging the status quo, and applying creative approaches to work.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
- 7+ years in an HR generalist or business partner role consulting with leaders and team members on people practices
- Professional HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred but not required
- Experience and working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines such as performance management, talent assessment, employee relations, and compensation practices.
