Description
The Construction Project Manager will be successful when they:
- Demonstrate high-quality project management skills by delivering construction and installation projects to the agreed goals/scope, within agreed timeframes, and budgets for all service offerings with a strong focus on client Markets, Market with hot food components (Market+), and Cafs along with Continental office and warehouse construction projects.
- Positively engage with key stakeholders to ensure clear communication of milestones, deadlines, and deliverables; helping to remove or minimize roadblocks and barriers.
- Lead highly collaborative and efficient cross-functional project teams.
- Adhere to and uphold all Project Management Office (PMO) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning, execution and monitoring of refreshments and dining construction projects in addition to internal office or warehouse construction.
- Participate in a variety of special internal projects as business requires.
- Work closely with Business Development, Space Planning, Operations, Service and Install teams.
- Manage third party general contractors and subcontractors for construction and installation projects.
- Work with the Procurement Team and Install Team to assist with material take-off, ordering, expediting and receipt / staging / prep of materials and equipment.
- Process quotes for purchase orders.
- Adhere to timeline, budget and scope of work details for each project and escalate to the necessary stakeholders should these elements be at risk. Communicate changes to schedule, scope or budget as required.
- Maintain electronic project plans and schedules for every project and coordinate statuses with the project team throughout the life of the project.
- Proactively prepare for and facilitate project meetings; issue agendas and meeting notes.
- Track project goals, risks, resourcing, and budget.
- Work with team members to understand where constraints may exist and help remove barriers and roadblocks.
- Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple teams are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Participate in a variety of other special projects as required.
- Communicate with executive stakeholders and project sponsors ensure goal alignment.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the PMO's development by providing improvements as well as informing key stakeholders on PMO best practices.
- Develop deep and trusting relationships within varying levels of the organization.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of Construction Project Management experience, managing multiple projects at one time
- Experience with space planning, material / equipment specification and construction logistics / process
- Deep understanding of design and scoping processes
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Exhibits leadership qualities and a can do attitude
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio. Smartsheet (or similar PM software) and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Exhibit flexibility in completing assignments in a growing and dynamic environment
- Strong work ethic; does what they say they will do and is driven by passion for their work
- Exceptional communication skills - is clear, open, and honest; provides clear follow-up and actions
- Experience in a highly agile and fast paced environment
