This position is only open to current DR-02 (or equivalent grade) level candidates for reassignment. Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical insight leading a program to effectively integrate EO/IR, Radar, and Spectrum Warfare technologies to demonstrate new sensing phenomenology concepts and capabilities.
- Overseeing integration, testing, and demonstration of state-of-the-art technologies that span multi-domains and technology areas to showcase how sensing technology directly fills a warfighter need/capability gap.
- Determining the optimal acquisition approach, develops and directs program plans, and establishes and manages program baselines.
- Applying disciplined Systems Engineering & Life Cycle Management processes to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Developing, implementing, and controlling contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a project/program through all phases of the acquisition cycle.
- Leading and documenting all aspects of program execution to include preparing authoritative acquisition plans/strategies, work statements, evaluating contractor proposals & performance & monitoring contracted & in-house research to ensure satisfactory progress in accordance w/ cost, schedule, technical performance & capability metrics/goals.
- Communicating regularly with key stakeholders (e.g. CCMDs, LCMC, AFRL/HQ, SAF/AQ, MAJCOMs) to formulate & conduct advanced research to meet future warfighter needs.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, DO-01, or equivalent in other pay systems. This includes experience as a Program Manager determining optimal acquisition approaches, developing and directing program plans, and establishing and managing program baselines.
- There are no Individual Occupational Requirements for this series.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret with access to SCI and SAP security clearance, as condition of employment.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical certification in Program Management ; experience is 4 years; and the selectee will have 60-months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained. *Applicants must list all completed APDP certifications in their resume*
The position is eligible for situational telework and will require routine mission travel, regular classified engagements, and in-person meetings that cannot always be scheduled around a regular/recurring telework schedule. Employee must live within the commuting area of Wright-Patterson AFB.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Ability to perform TDY travel approximately 10% time

- Significant experience in managing complex contracted projects.
- Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills for technical and senior leader audiences.
