Area Business Manager, Oleo Basics
Description: Individual will be responsible for managing the Oleo Basics sales for an assigned territory/customer base. This responsibility includes managing sales and margin generation for the assigned customer base as well as the identification and closing of new business opportunities (NBOs). Individual will work closely with Sales Management, Supply Chain and Technical groups to support and follow up on customers' needs and requirements.
This is a home-based position.
Main responsibilities:
As deemed necessary, individual will also support Emery Specialties Global Platforms that includes the Account Management in the region, as well as to assist the Business on special growth target projects.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree required, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. MBA is a plus. 5+ years of experience in technical sales of Chemicals. Solid experience in business development ('Hunting') and customer base management ('Farming'). Good verbal, written, interpersonal, planning and sales-closing skills. Self-starter, well-organized, self-motivated and with a proven track record of sales growth. Good understanding of key commercial and financial metrics. Ability to travel > 50% of the time. Must have computer skills including Microsoft Office. Experience with Dynamics and SAP is a plus.

- Develop and maintain strong customer relationship on all levels (Procurement, Marketing, Business, R&D, Manufacturing and Quality Control) as applicable.
- Understand and communicate customer needs to support the correct pricing strategy and to establish value within the identified market segments.
- Prepare call reports and provide regular customer updates including NBO tracking.
- Prepare regular forecast based on customer base projections
- Provide market and competitive intelligence based on discussions and meetings with customers.
- Develop new businesses by prospecting and managing leads.
