The Microelectronics Product Line performs cutting-edge microelectronics research in its Science & Technology area and delivers advanced microelectronic products in its four Development & Production areas that advance mission capabilities across commercial and defense applications. We are seeking an experienced RF and Mixed-Signal Design Lead with a stable track record in production focused design maturation. In this role you will provide technical leadership in our talented Mixed Signal IC development group while working closely with the product lines and the business areas, as we transition our innovative technologies from game-changing early development prototypes to le production deliveries.
As a member of our team of chip designers, you will also work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to impact all phases of the product development lifecycle. This will include helping with strategic planning for MSIC technology transitions, leading chip design activities, owning design documentation, and providing tactical applications support including integration and testing.

Specific Skills and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor teams of engineers in design, test, and applications support activities with ability to keep them engaged and focused
- Proficiency with CAD tools: Cadence Virtuoso and SpectreRF/Assura/Calibre; Keysight ADS and SystemVue; Synopsys; Matlab
- High level of experience with IC design from simulation through layout and physical verification
- Shaping design and test strategy for complex ICs transitioning from development stage to production
- Developing RF and mixed signal test plans aligned with production and working with both internal and external test partners to implement
- Guiding and reviewing design-for-test best practices during development phases to ensure efficient and repeatable testability
- Identifying both technical and nontechnical barriers to progress and working collaboratively to drive issues to closure
- Proven track record of working with multi-disciplined teams with successful results
- Vetting results and effectively presenting and communicating to stakeholders

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years' work or equivalent experience in IC design
- Leadership skills and full design, sim and test cycle experience
- Testing experience with analog, RF, microwave, and/or digital circuits
- Transition and technology insertion in complicated systems
- Understanding of systems level functioning and integration
- Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication
- Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
- MSEE or PhD or 20+ years of relevant work experience is desired
- Leading a multi-disciplinary chip design effort (analog, RF and digital design concerns)
- Experience in detailed frequency planning and RF cascade analysis
- Experience designing highly mixed-signal circuits (ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DLLs, SERDES, etc)
- Digital design experience
- EM simulation experience (EMX, HFSS, Sonnet)
- Prior work in advanced BiCMOS or CMOS technologies
- Laboratory validation of chip design
- Interacting with production/operations team to ensure chip manufacturability
- Active DoD Secret clearance
