Title: Talent Acquisition Manager
Under limited supervision, responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources functions for an assigned region with the school district. This work includes serving as the primary human resources support for the assigned region and effectively staffing all positions, classified and certified staff recruitment, employee retention, on-site school visits, and special events for new employees throughout the year.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are representative of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Supervises departmental staff and the hiring and staffing of certified and classified employees; stays current with federal and state laws relative to fair hiring practices.
Participates in regional staff meetings and other meetings as directed by the regional superintendent.
Supports all new teachers through on-site school visits.
Ensures the eligibility of applicants before offering a position, including certification requirements, security issues, and references; oversees the new hire authorization process; Facilitates informal resolution of staffing concerns raised by administrators.
Recruits educators from various colleges and universities; frequent overnight recruitment travel required; facilitates travel arrangements for recruitment; follows travel reimbursement rules, policies, and procedures.
Develops, gathers, analyzes, produces, and maintains a variety of staffing correspondence regarding recruitment; compiles statistics and reports on relevant data using software for storing, retrieving, formatting, and integrating data.
Develops and supervises the implementation of a district strategic plan for recruitment and candidate selection, as well as other departmental plans, processes, goals, and objectives; monitors and ensures implementation of pre-screening teacher assessments.
Coordinates, plans, and implements district job fairs; interacts with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Facilitates the process of identifying and posting positions on external websites.
Oversees and monitors the recruitment supply budget and the HR foundation budget; ensures and maintains compliance with all policies, rules, and procedures for budget expenditures; ensures the availability of adequate recruitment supplies.
Prepares data-driven reports and analyses relative to recruitment, teacher placement programs, teacher retention, vacancy needs, and positions filled.
Develops, assesses, revises, and implements procedures relative to staff placement, i.e., transfers, reassignments, and summer school staffing.
Leads administrator interview panel discussions.
Ensure exit interviews are conducted when employees resign.
Drives the contract renewal process for the region, with special emphasis on supporting principals during contract recommendation decisions.
Ensures annual policy training (harassment, etc.) is completed for employees within the region by informing regional superintendents and principals of the completion status.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in human resources management and/or educational field required.
Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resource Management and/or school-based administrative experience required.
