Applicants for this position must have the following qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Administrator's certificate from an accredited college or university OR eighteen (18) hours coursework in the specialty area and a combination of fifteen (15) course hours in curriculum, supervision, research, tests and measures, statistics, special populations, school finance, leadership/The Principalship, school law, and school finance.
- Texas Teacher of the Hearing Impaired Certification (Preferred)
- Texas Principal Certification (Preferred)
- BEI or RID Interpreter Certification (Preferred)
- Five years of experience in education (Preferred)
- Minimum five (5) years of successful experience as a special education personnel
