The DarkStar Group is seeking a Data Architect with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.

THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. THE PROJECT
The Sponsor's mission is to provide quality services that facilitate seamless software development lifecycle and API and Gateway with modern data repository services. The Sponsor requires support for planning future architectures, infosec assurance and accreditation, Configuration Management and System Engineering for Sponsor's legacy and future complex portfolio of data tools.

THE ROLE

The Contractor shall define the structure of data for Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) repositories in relational database management systems (RDBMS) and future Data Lake platforms. The Contractor shall prepare documentation for database concepts, data design patterns and preliminary data modeling. The Contractor shall work with data modelers to design and develop data models for structured, unstructured, and Data Lake/Lakehouse data. The Contractor shall be involved in the design of data engineering and cloud engineering across repositories. The Contractor shall work with Data Governance to optimize the structure of data and to retire or decommission stale data within the business for data storing and secure compliance. The Contractor shall work with appropriate technical disciplines and Data Governance to ensure single source of truth and avoid data duplication and movement. The Contractor shall work with data modelers to manage the logical and physical designs for data. The Contractor shall work with business analysts to understand the Data flow, CRUD, ETL, and API (data flows, connects between applications or tables and views). The Contractor shall work with DBA and Developer teams to implement Zero Trust Architecture for data layers. The Contractor shall provide data architecture support for the full life cycle of data management including requirements, design, and testing techniques. The Contractor shall work with Data Governance teams to define data tagging for structure databases and Data Lakes, data quarantine. The Contractor shall work with Data Governance and DBA teams to ensure the upstream/downstream data is fully identified from the Data Catalog and Database repositories.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience understanding data management and data governance, data catalog, data dictionary, and dataset characteristics.
  • Demonstrated experience in disciplines such as Data Warehousing, ETL tools, Data Governance, and Analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience with BI Reporting tools, such as Cognos, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated experience with logical data model (entity and relationship - ER diagram), and Data Dictionary (attributes and entities and relationship).
  • Demonstrated experience with relational database design, documentation, building and implementing databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with data life cycle - data security, data quality, data cleansing, landing zone, backup, restore, retire or archive, and data audits.

Desired Skills (Optional)
  • Demonstrated experience with structure, unstructured databases, and other data pipeline services.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with data producers and consumers (upstream/downstream).
  • Demonstrated experience understanding other data pipeline or data analytic providers via cloud marketplace or proprietary providers.
  • Demonstrated experience with deep-dive data analysis and ability to identify data patterns and behavior of the data.
