Engineering Manager - Tyndall AFB, FL

JOB SUMMARY:

BB&E is seeking an Engineering Manager tosupport AFCEC/CFD Natural Recovery Division onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and perform design and construction project management services for AFCEC/CFD at Tyndall AFB, FL.
  • Collaborate with the Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and other stakeholders to identify facility requirements, coordinate design reviews, respond to requests for information, coordinate design, and construction submittal reviews, obtain work clearance from cognizant agencies, facilitate installation access and security for construction contractors, update official project records, and oversee transfer and acceptance of facility construction.
  • Perform project management for a wide range of base facility and utility infrastructure for the Tyndall AFB PMO, coordinating user requirements, base agency requirements, and design reviews.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in managing Department of Defense (DoD) Military Construction (MILCON), Facility Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM), Housing Privatization, Utilities Privatization projects or actively supporting programs of comparable size, scope and complexity.
  • Experience in facility design and construction for the DoD.
  • Experience tracking, reporting, and developing solutions to resolve issues on design and construction projects.
  • Experience tracking and reporting comprehensive project status including siting, approvals, permitting, programming, requirements development, cost estimating, design, construction, and transfer/acceptance.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in facilitating and leading project coordination meetings with all applicable stakeholders.
  • Experience tracking, reporting, and developing strategies to achieve project objectives for quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of multiple projects to performance, cost, and schedule parameters.


EDUCATION:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree highly desired.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Ability to work with a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence of working collaboratively with clients and suppliers to deliver positive results.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, as well as Air Force or DoD regulations and documentation is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a T-1 Trustworthiness background check) for a Common Access Card (CAC), or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain official project records.
  • Motivated self-starters requested.
