The Opportunity:

The Finance Manager supports the Senior Finance Director of Sephora at Kohl's (S[redacted]) Joint Venture. The Finance Manager will be responsible for forecasting/budgeting, analytics, partnership management and supporting the needs of the Joint Venture and the decision-making process. This role will include providing variance analysis on margin, expenses, revenue, and liabilities, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The Finance Manager must have strict attention to detail and an ability to set and meet tight deadlines will be critical for success.

Position Responsibilities

• Oversee all components of budget/forecasting process for all expenses related to the Joint Venture. Actively pursuing new/innovative ways of improving business process and value-added analysis. Monitor and review spending, identify trends/issues and manage course corrections as needed.
• Oversee monthly reporting and financial close by attending monthly close meetings, assisting with reconciling budget and forecast variances to actual results and providing a bridge review on variances.
• Manage business partner relationships both external and internal to understand each business area and provide financial thought partnership.
• Act as the liaison between Sephora, Kohl's and all other partners including leadership to build full year budgets, advise on phasing, as well as provide financial analysis support in strategic projects.
• Results oriented mindset within the teams through active collaboration and vision.
• Assist Senior Director in driving expense management, understanding the individual areas' needs and timelines ensuring that those teams are informed of any changes in expectation around expense performance.
• Demonstrate an ability to develop and implement procedural improvements in operations and reporting.
• Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies, business issues, risks/opportunities for all areas of responsibility.
• Manage contractors and any financial analysts on the team.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of financial or business analytics experience, ideally with at least 2 years of experience as a Senior Analyst
• Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, and monthly close activities
• Intermediate accounting knowledge required, knowledge of IFRS 16 a plus
• Superior Excel financial modeling skills and Financial Systems, SAP and Anaplan / BPC a plus
• Requires a self-starter, ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
• Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and task management skills
• Ability to partner cross functionally with all levels of the organization
• Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
• Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,880.00 - $143,545.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
