Jacob Bros Construction is expanding our Equipment Division, and we're immediately hiring an Equipment Manager to support our state-of-the-art shop and maintance facility in South Surrey.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain all equipment and facilities, including but not limited to, machinery, vehicles, and shop facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential risks.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, ensuring that records are up to date and properly documented.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure that equipment and facility needs are met within budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliant practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to equipment implementing new technologies or processes as appropriate.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation principles.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Proven experience in equipment management in construction.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Red Seal Certified journey person - Heavy Duty an asset.
  • 10+ years experience working around heavy equipment, with the majority in a construction related firm.
