-Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems

-Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
-Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

-Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network device, etc.
- Provide Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to the customers management team and internal customers
- Configures and manages Linux operating systems and installs/loads
- Configures, manages, maintains and troubleshoots virtualization infrastructure
- Create scripts for the management of system configurations, systems processes
- Work with appropriate entities on the creation and sustainment of dataflows using COTS and GOTS solutions
- Work with the System Owner, ISSO and DAO on the creation, modification and reaccreditation of applicable System Security Plans and accompanying documentation
Here's what you need:
- Minimum 10 years Red Hat Linux Experience, or a derivative like CentOS or Fedora
- Experience provisioning systems, configuring systems, patching and managing systems, and securing/hardening systems
- Perform operating system troubleshooting; maintain integrity of systems; and configure network components, to implement system enhancements
- Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
- CWIP/IAT Level 1 Certification Required (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, CISSP, etc.)
Helpful:
- Managing resources in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMWare
- Maintaining system configurations with Git, Ansible, Salt
- Monitoring systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack or Open Search
- Implementing STIGS (or similar rulesets) to ensure security compliance
- Creating and maintaining orchestrated container deployments using Docker, Helm, Kubernetes
- Creating and maintain databases such as Postgres, Neo4j, Elastic Search or OpenSearch
- Managing data flows using Apache Niagara Files
