Bishop Blanchet is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Development, Events Manager and Campaign Coordinator. Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic Event Manager to orchestrate impactful gatherings for our Blanchet Community. You will oversee all facets of event planning, from menu selection and audience engagement to vendor and volunteer coordination, budget management, and post-event assessment.
Ideal candidates will be highly organized, adept writers with exceptional verbal and written communication skills across various platforms. Additionally, this role will contribute to strategizing and executing fundraising initiatives, including our Annual Fund and capital campaigns.

Salary Range: $78,953 - $96,389 (This is a salaried, exempt position and ineligible for overtime)

Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and adhering to budgets with meticulous attention to detail.
- Creating and managing timelines to ensure all deadlines are met seamlessly.
- Negotiating contracts with vendors for sound, lighting, catering, rentals, and other essential services.
- Soliciting sponsorships, underwriting dollars, and procuring raffle and tangible items with enthusiasm.
- Collaborating closely with designers and printers to produce promotional materials that reflect our brand.
- Managing guest lists and RSVPs with precision through online platforms.
- Planning seating arrangements and cultivating audience engagement strategies.
- Coordinating event setup, AV requirements, decorations, and overseeing cleanup efforts.
- Leading volunteers and vendors onsite to ensure smooth event execution.
- Tracking expenses and revenue meticulously to optimize financial outcomes.
- Evaluating and summarizing event details comprehensively for pre and post-event reviews.
- Crafting heartfelt thank-you notes for guests and volunteers following each event.
- Updating constituent information in our database and responding promptly to inquiries.
- Contributing to the BBHS Magazine with engaging copy and editorial support.
- Assisting in cultivating and securing donations for our Annual Giving programs.
- Collaborating effectively across various BBHS departments and groups for event coordination.
- Supporting campaign initiatives and events as needed with enthusiasm and dedication.
- Stepping up to maintain office operations during absences of other development team members.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient in the following types of software is helpful: Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), Raiser's Edge, Greater Giving, Canva, Constant Contact and Finalsite
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds to waist level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for and understanding of Catholic education with an ability to actively engage in a faith-based environment.
- BA degree in Hospitality, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a comprehensive development program.
- Strong project management skills, including excellent verbal and written communication, exceptional organization, and the ability to prioritize, multitask, lead, direct, and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated, proactive, articulate, resourceful, and creative.
- Ability to anticipate and plan for potential scenarios that could impact event integrity.
- Capable of working well under pressure and addressing potential issues that may arise.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative office environment.
- Availability for occasional nighttime and weekend work as required by event schedules.
