Position Overview:

Supports Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc. (MHCA)'s reporting needs across the enterprise.

The incumbent must understand, abide, and uphold the system of internal controls related to the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with BI Leader to develop, test, implement and support reporting needs across departments utilizing current and emerging reporting tools.

    • Support the timely migration and operation of an existing on-premises SQL Server Data Warehouse to Microsoft Azure
    • Gather requirements and build customized data feeds and reports.
    • Learn and promote the use of newer BI tools and participate in their implementation.
    • Be part of an extended Reporting team comprised of US/Canada architects and report developers.
  • Performs data analysis and development in support of the data integration of new system implementations and upgrades, business projects, and changes to existing reports.
  • Provide development team and end-user support and training around reporting systems.
  • Performs technical & architecture review of BI solutions developed by junior team members and consultants.
  • Collaborates with extended development teams on large scale projects and provides coaching on best practices and new product capabilities.
  • Monitors reporting performance and data quality, troubleshooting inconsistencies.
  • Analyzes and resolves critical path technical issues and escalates to vendors as needed.
  • Works with Infrastructure team and vendors on implementation and validation of BI Tech Stack upgrades to ensure product success and compliance with EOL mandates.
  • Follows all development policies and guidelines when coding fixes and enhancements, as well as when fixes and enhancements are migrated to a production environment.
  • Responds to IT Audit requests, as required.
  • Assist on other IT projects and tasks as assigned.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10-year experience with SQL development and relational database experience, including significant utilization of Microsoft Business Intelligence development tech stack.
  • Advanced data integration skills utilizing Microsoft SSIS or similar ETL toolset.
  • Experience in commercial leasing, and/or other financial application systems.

Skills Required:
  • Advanced data analysis skills with ability to trace lineage of report and application data back to source and reverse engineer existing reporting solutions as needed.
  • Advanced Microsoft data management skills including RDBMS and performance tuning.
  • Advanced Power BI development skills and best practices.
  • Advanced SSIS / SSRS development skills and best practices.
  • Experience with market-leading BI tools.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5 years related program development and support experience with comparable financial or leasing institution.

  • Personal computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment


Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs


Travel:

  • Occasional travel related to training, seminars or business meetings.


Physical Demands:
  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The salary will be between $141,000 and $163,000 with an opportunity to earn (a discretionary annual bonus).

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
