You'll issue requests for quotes with the necessary drawings, bills of materials, part lists, and specifications. You'll also support troubleshooting on equipment and other maintenance needs. Additionally, you'll work with other engineers and maintenance teams to successfully implement projects and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Purchases equipment, parts, components, and services for plant-wide projects based on specific recommendations.
- Develops and evaluates project justifications, specifications, scope of work, design drawings, P&IDs, bids, schedules, supervision, startup, and commissioning.
- Acts as a liaison among production, maintenance, other departments, and external contractors for various tasks.
- Leads projects and problem-solving activities with a focus on teamwork.
- Conducts research and development of new process techniques when current technology is inadequate.
- Coordinates with external contractors for project work or facility maintenance.
- Promotes a safety-first mindset, adhering to facility safety instructions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring cleanliness in work and maintenance areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields
- 10+ years Engineering experience
- Experience managing capital projects valued over $5M including design, RFQ, and execution stages, with effective project tracking.
- Supervises engineers and project managers successfully.
- Has contract review and negotiation skills.
- Has commercial project experience.
- Reads and interprets detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications for equipment and utilities (P&ID and equipment drawings).
- Possesses efficient troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis training.
- Uses participative management for problem-solving, project implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in plant/facility maintenance support and work order systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with plant maintenance systems like boilers and power distribution is a plus.
